Ubisoft Announces Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Extended Ops Update Coming January 25

Ubisoft® announces that Extended Ops, the third major free update for Ghost Recon Wildlands Ghost War PvP, will be available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Windows PC tomorrow, January 25. Keeping in line with the Ghost Recon Wildlands development team’s goal of expanding the scope of Ghost War, this update adds a brand new game mode: Extraction, as well as exclusive new maps.

In the new Extraction mode, one team is tasked with locating and escorting one of two High-Value Targets (HVT) out of a conflict zone, while the other team works to stop them by defending the hostages’ location. Planning strategy and making the right decisions will be more important than ever, as the extracted HVT needs to stay alive to win the round.

Extraction comes with two exclusive maps, “Institute” and “Garage”, and will incite players to adapt their playstyles and come up with new tactics. Both new maps are available for both Quickplay and Ranked.

Extended Ops also includes new gear for both the base game and the PvP modes. For all the additions and improvements, please visit http://ghostrecon.com/extendedops.

Originally launched in October 2017, Ghost War continues to build a community of tactical PvP players with regular free updates that introduce new content. Following Extended Ops, Ghost Recon Wildlands will continue to receive regular updates bringing new content to both multiplayer and solo modes in the coming months.

ABOUTGhost Recon Wildlands Ghost War allows players to live the ultimate co-op experience in 4-versus-4 modes. Featuring a growing roster of classes, maps and modes, it focuses on teamwork, strategy and tensed tactical engagements. All upcoming new modes, maps and gameplay updates will always be free and available simultaneously to all players. Season Pass and Ghost War Pass owners will immediately unlock all new classes with an exclusive seven-day early access, while other players will be able to unlock them with Prestige credits earned through progression or to purchase them on the in-game store.

Developed by Ubisoft Paris,* Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a military shooter entirely playable in up to four-player co-op or single-player from beginning to end. Players have total freedom to accomplish their missions how they want and watch as the world reacts to their actions. Players can choose to move quietly in the night, go in hot at dawn or work together to execute a sync shot that takes out enemies in one fell swoop. Each choice has a consequence, and players must improvise or adapt their plans to ensure the completion and success of each mission.
