Thursday Night Indie Spotlight Ep. 48 - The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition (PS4 Gameplay)

Thursday Night Indie Spotlight Ep. 48 - The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition (PS4 Gameplay)

Thursday night is indie night! This week, I (@piccolo930) fired up developer The Molasses Flood's adventure/survival-sim,  The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition. I had always admired this game from afar, with its kooky art style and cool-sounding premise, so I was excited to dive into The Flame in the Flood headfirst and see what it was all about. I was delighted to find a survival-sim with rogue-like elements that didn't pride itself on being impenetrable. The game runs great, the soundtrack is slick, and the controls/UI are perfectly tuned to a console audience. Even if you don't consider yourself a fan of the survival-sim sub-genre of adventure games, The Flame in the Flood is still worth a look. Its accessibility and beautiful art direction allow it stand out as a unique and inviting title in the survival space. If you've yet to check out The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition for yourself, take a look at the video below and see what it's all about!

If you have played The Flame in the Flood, let us know what you think about it in the comments below, and be sure to watch the Thursday Night Indie Spotlight live every Thursday at 10pm EST on our Twitch channel!
